1) I got a rumour from BBM about an incident at Sg. Petani, Kedah. An indian girl died. Some says it has nothing do with racial issue but only a normal crime. A motorcycle was stolen, they said. But some blogs play this incident as a racial issue, based on their information.
2) But Royal Police Malaysia then posted up via Facebook, stated:
Terima kasih."
3) A source says that a policeman was attacked by Indian Geng called Geng 35 and he faced really bad injury. FRU and PDRM called DARURAT for that area for a while.
4) At last i think i can take a deep breath that FRU and PDRM is still working without any political interference and limitation under whatever laws provided now. Here, people can value why this country need Police and precisely, Federal Reserve Unit (FRU). FRU was not formed to stop a political party's demonstration in KL. It is more than that. And i believe FRU unit feel more worthy to handle this kind of 'event' than the stupid's yellow march.
5) In a previous fight, was in Gombak. A Pakatan Rakyat's ceramah was claimed attacked by Pemuda UMNO. Some got stabbed and few were injured. During one of the press conference after the chaos, Police Department of Ampang Jaya were asked if it was true that Police decided to put both parties location nearby. It was a blunt reply (i guess) by OCPD Ampang Jaya:
"Dalam akta baru Peace Assembly Act (PAA) , kami tak ada kuasa nak regulate. Polis cuma perlu dimaklum sahaja 10 hari sebelum program. Jika tidak ikut (maklum dalam tempoh 10 hari) baru ada tindakan."
6) I don't study much on the ISA or any previous acts that abolished by the government. But what i understand from above statement was, previously Police can regulate; means any party wants to have a gathering of activities like ceramah must apply permit from the Police so the Police can decide either the events is safe to be carried out based on certain criteria like place, time and most important, the cause. Besides, under a section states that the event must not disturb the peace of others. So ceramah with maki hamun and slander will be called 'disturb the peace of others' or not? What if the slander goes to you and coincidently you were passing by the ceramah?
7) Now, police got to berkhidmat untuk rakyat (serve the people) . So, police just to accept that if people want to have a ceramah so police, please be noted. If anything happened on that day, then Police will act. This is the new 'preventive' law by the government under Menteri Dalam Negeri. Because of this i feel more unsafe walking on the street in this beloved country. So we should call our Minister as Menteri Tak Selamat Dalam Negeri. Maybe walking at the border is safer than inside the country. This is the new definition of peace and safety?
8) Well, is this all the people wants? What exactly people expect from police? Do they want the wrong doers get special treatment while others suffers? The wrong doers tell police "Hey,we gonna do this in ten days. (to expect some protection for their maki hamun so the provoked and disturbed parties will just listen?)". And if the police caught them demo on the street then they got beriyani during detention while FRU eat nasi bungkus at the kaki lima? This we call fair and just?
9) Finally, i share you my own experience on 901 assembly in front of Mahkamah Tinggi Jalan Duta. All police looks kaku when these group who seek for justice came with the slogan "Hancur UMNO BN Najib Rosmah" and they even didn't assemble at the promised place, the parking lot. After a few hours then a PR leader ask them to move to the parking lot. There i saw how police with very kind and sopan invited all the demonstrators move. It's good, they smiled, ask with proper manner. But, did this demonstrators deserve it?
10) Politicians got scare with their political mileage and images, and yet they still have time and money to bring their families get a nice holidays outside Malaysia. But police like FRU working with lesser preventive law, they are also a human being with families at home waiting day by day, before and after any chaotic events just to admit that their father/mother is out here protecting this beloved country. Is this really what people want from our police?
